The winery of Bacco Baccichetto
A new meeting place tracing back to its origin of a patronized port on the banks of the Anaxum, the river "without light" once called the Stella, because of its dense surroundings by trees which prevented sunlight from reflecting upon its water. Precenicco has always told its history between land and water. The river's calm clear flow of water from its beginning flowing down southward to the lagoon of Marano, where the reflection of light seems to dance on the water that once gushed out spontaneously from numerous fountains.
Along the road that coasts the Stella river through the Romano praedium Titianus which crosses the wide road to Lignano, stands a rebom antique colonial farmhouse "of the Baccichettos". Where the old blends with the new, like plants of ivy climbing up old walls. With the latest architectural and functional features (Domus Bacchi) an embracing floral courtyard to renew the traditional inclination of the Baccichetto family to greet its quests, through the pleasures enriched by the flavours and fragrances of this land. But even from its knowledge, as written by Isi Benini, at the centre of every family that cultivates a great vineyard a vinedresser' s soft touch of hand full of warmth affection with an eye focused on the tradition and the other on the inclinations of high technology that follows the evocative joumey of the beginning of its birth from an opulent cluster of grapes at its primary stage to when it rests and ferments until its final stage of being bottled and stored carefully until the Spring when its magnificent flavor is released to the paIate of the taster in which all the anxiety and haste will be worth the wine maker' s great effort in achieving a good vintage wine.
Domus Bacc(h)I is the realization of a dream: the culture of " wine making " that unites with the beauty of art, music, literature and the reflection of words. An indisputable cultural place gently lightened by the river Stella.
A site for events, exhibitions, book presentations, tasting, round table discussions and musical preludes.
